Martine Couture is originally from Ottawa. She holds an Honours degree in Geography from the University of Ottawa. She is also a graduate of Algonquin College in Cartography and has a Certificate in Management from Carleton University. Martine has had a career with the Earth Sciences Sector of Natural Resources Canada. She is a founding member and secretary of the Quebec Aboriginal Science and Engineering Association (QASEA).  Martine is married and has two children.
