Born in Lachute, Quebec, Marc Lalande has a degree in engineering from École Polytechnique of the Université de Montréal. He also has diplomas in economics and in theology. He pursued his career in the Public Service of Canada as an economist and a professional engineer. Winner of the Community Service Meritorious Award of Engineers Canada in 2001, his biography appears in the Canadian Who’s Who. He is a founding member of the Quebec Aboriginal Science and Engineering Association. Marc is married and has two children.
